Two Confirmed Tornadoes Touched Down in Daviess, KY

Wednesday afternoon, repeated severe storms trampled the tri-state. Leaving behind a path of destruction and some residents without a home. The National Weather Service has completed two damage surveys in Daviess Co. that confirm an EF-0 and an EF-1 touched down in the county late Wednesday. The first twister touching down around 6:22PM, 5 miles SSW of Owensboro at the intersection of HWY 554 and 431. The tornado with 80+ mph winds ended it’s destruction after traveling ¬†1.5 miles and damaging over a dozen trees and blowing doors off of a barn. The second tornado was spotted¬†touching down at 6:36PM, 3 miles east of Owensboro, near State Road 603 and Pleasant Valley Rd. The EF-0 gaining strength to an EF-1 by the time of reaching Keenland pkwy, destroying a mobile home and damaging others. The EF-1 lifted after traveling 3 miles, 6 miles ENE of Owensboro at 6:42PM.
