Severe Weather Threat Increasing for this Afternoon

Latest rapid refresh models are continuing to increase the severe weather threat for the tri-state. Within the next 1-2 hours, models are indicating rapid growth in super cellular activity across the area. A main line of storms will approach the area after the 6PM hour. Models are also increasing the instability required for these storms to fire. All threats of severe weather are in play this afternoon with an increasing threat the further west you go. This increase in severe weather potential has caused the Storm Prediction Center in Norman, OK to upgradeĀ the entire tri-state to a SLIGHT RISK for severe weather.
