An area of low pressure that’s currently located over the northeastern Gulf of Mexico will bring heavy rain to sections of the area. This is a non-tropical system, but it will bring plenty of rain with it. The main concern will be locally heavy rain amounts.
The image above is showing how much rain should fall across the area. This is just an estimate, but it does show that the potential for heavy rain exists. The heaviest rain will likely be located north of the area. This rain will fall over a stretch of time, so overall widespread flooding isn’t expected. However, we could see areas of heavier rain within the main complex of rain. Both Saturday and Sunday hold the best chance for rain.
